Department of Master of Computer Applications

Department of MCA was established in the year 2001 with a sanctioned intake of 60 for a 3-year PG programme, MCA. The department is equipped with excellent infrastructure and a team of experienced faculty members who have versatile interest and involvement to provide quality education in the area of computer and its applications.

Effective Industry Institute interaction is achieved through seminars, workshops and guest lectures. This encourages the professional discussion between the students and the participating managers from the industry. This also gives the students a chance to envisage their roles in the industry beforehand. Enhancing the knowledge of the students by interacting with the industry skills, and their leadership qualities.

Students & Faculty

At present, the sanctioned intake is 120 in two divisions including 2 Professors with Ph.D., 5 Assistant Professor & 17 well qualified and experienced faculty members.The faculty members are pursuing research leading to Ph.D. The Faculty Members are encourage to participate in various conferences, Faculty Development Program, Short Term Training Programme, Workshops and Seminars to enhance their knowledge.

Placement

The department has a very good placement record and our students have got placed in leading companies like INFOSYS, TCS, CTS, Wipro, Hexaware, Net Magnus, Tech Mahindra, Applied Materials India Pvt. Ltd. etc. The overseas alumina is the strength of the department. To facilitate the students to face the on campus and off campus interview, we provide training in the areas of aptitude, Group Discussions, Personality development and technical skill development and Mock interview, etc. High level interaction is periodically held with the industry experts to keep the students abreast of the latest trends in the field of computers and IT.

Consultancy

The consultancy activities include developing software to automate day to day activities of the college. It focuses mainly on creating paperless environment in the college. The applications developed are web/Intranet-based and can accessed anywhere in the college premises. Other activities are Product development that supports major academic & commercial requirements, External consultancy and conducting Training Programmes.
