Overview

MEC Central Library plays pivotal role in augmenting the mission of the college in disseminating the flow of knowledge and by providing and promoting the thirst of the library users.  The college was established in the year 2000 with 2000 volumes and 400 Titles and as on date 58202 Volumes with 14985 Titles.  The subscriptions include 127 National Journals, 82 International Journals and 62 National and International Magazines. Library is located in the third floor with Stack Hall, Book Bank, Circulation, Reference Hall and Digital Library.  Around 3000 registered users access the library.  The entire library function has been well automated and book transaction is made possible with barcode technology using ID Cards.

Holidays 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM

Facilities

  • Library is fully computerized and automated using EASYLIB Software with DDC coding, Magnetic Scanner, Bar Coding facilities enables the user for faster accessing the Library.
  • OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) facility makes book searches easier with various options such as Title, Author, Keyword(s) and Subject(s) etc...
  • A modern Digital Library with a high-speed internet access at the speed of 165 Mbps.
  • Library is having LAN facility. By using this library software can be accessed by the students from the server.
  • Library is having Wi-Fi network facility. By using this, the availability of books in the library can be known by all users.
  • Facilities of Book Bank, Periodicals, Back Volumes, Audio Visual, Reference and Project Materials are provided.
  • Reprographic facilities such as Photocopier, Printer, and Scanner.
