ELECTRONICS  AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

              The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 2000. Thus from a modest beginning in 2000, the department has come a long way. The Department has a devoted team of 20 faculty members who are well qualified and experienced in the areas of Communication systems, Digital Signal Processing and related software and hardware tools. Out of 20 faculty members, one member has Ph.D qualification, and eleven members have PG qualification. Three faulty members are currently doing Ph.D in Anna University.

             Apart from the theoretical course work, the department believes that the students should have a sound knowledge in practical work. In view of the above the department offers practical courses in Electronic devices & circuits, Microprocessor & Micro controller applications, Communication systems, Digital Signal Processing, Microwave & Optical Communication. These labs promise to pose new and challenging problems to the students and provide the necessary knowledge. To meet industrial demand the department has planned to start PG programme in VLSI Design

 To be a centre of excellence for development and dissemination of knowledge in Electronics and Communication Engineering for the Nation and beyond.  

Mission

          •    The main objective of the Department is to make the students respond to the   emerging demands of the new century industrial scenario and also motivate the students in Research and Development activities.

          •    To make the students with both human values and work ethics.
